Sand Island Biodiesel Rack*

Par Hawaii’s Sand Island transportation diesel terminal, the largest in the state, will soon have a biodiesel blending capability to reduce carbon emissions from vehicles

Sustainable Aviation Fuel

Partnership with Hawaiian Airlines to study locally produced sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to replace traditional kerosene-based jet fuel from local feedstock.

Biodiesel from Pacific Biodiesel Hawaii

Par Hawaii retail locations offers a locally-produced Biodiesel from Pacific Biodiesel at these locations on Oahu.

Our Commitment to Innovation

Our investment in marine terminal access increased our ability to distribute cleaner, renewable-based diesel and jet fuel projects. This project along with other pilot projects demonstrates our support of and investment in a future that includes renewable fuels.

Carbon Mineralization in Basalt

Modeled after commercial mineralization projects in Iceland, Par Hawaii is exploring ways to capture CO2 from the refinery’s hydrogen unit to mineralize the carbon instead of adding to air emissions.

Retail Rooftop Solar Panels

In collaboration with others, Par Hawaii will be installing rooftop solar panels on Hawaii retail stores to enjoy energy cost savings and to contribute to the state’s goal to increase renewable energy sources for electricity.
